Welcome to Hylands!
The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality and is associated with warmth and friendliness. It was most popular in the 18th and 19th centuries as the pineapple was a delicacy at that time.
Our home is called Hylands which is a play on words. We used highlands, from Issaquah Highlands and personalized the spelling by using the first two letters of our surname.
Hylands has pineapple symbols throughout the home beginning with the gate entrances and front door. There are additional symbols throughout the house which was designed and built in the English Regency style. It is to convey a sense of welcome, good cheer, warmth and celebration. We designed our home and garden to entertain our friends and family. We want all our visitors to feel welcome at Hylands.
Hylands.website is our way to communicate better about our events. Access is granted by us, once an invitation has been accepted.
